Only Females will be allowed apply for admission to all the Nursing Colleges except for College of Nursing, Government Teaching Hospital, Shandara, Lahore, where all the 100 seats are reserved for the male candidates

I. Allocation of seats will be done in accordance with the approved number of seats by the SHC & ME Department, Government of the Punjab at each College of Nursing (CON) / Universities.
II. Advertisement will be given by the Directorate General Nursing, Punjab every year at least in three leading national newspapers (two Urdu and one English), after getting approval from the SHC & ME Department.
III. Admissions will be made once a year in October and classes will commence from 15 week of January each year.
IV. The final list of selected candidates duly verified by the Scrutiny and Admission Committees will be forwarded through the Directorate General Nursing, Punjab to the SHC & ME Department, Government of the Punjab for approval and grant of admission.
V. Admission will be confirmed only after verification of domicile and marks sheets / educational certificates from the concerned issuing authorities within three months by the concerned CON / Universities. The verification fees will be paid by the candidate.
VI. The Admitting Institution will be bound to provide yearly report to the SHC&ME Department regarding status of admitted students as well detail of promoted/rusticated/absent/re-admitted or disciplinary proceeded students.
VII. 85% attendance is mandatory for candidates to appear in the final examination. Those students, who will avail, more than 30 days leave / absence during the training will not be allowed to appear in the final examination.
VIII. Selected candidates will receive stipend @ Rs 31470/-(in accordance with the basic pay of BS-17 + mess & dress allowance). Selected candidates will submit surety bond and original documents (till completion of training), before receiving of the offer letter. Also if he /she leaves the training course incomplete, he/she will be liable to refund the entire amount received during the training period.
IX. During training in colleges / schools and in the wards, all nursing students shall be in proper uniform. The Nursing Instructor concerned shall personally accompany the class during the hands on training in the wards, and shall not leave till the end of training session. The Nursing Instructor shall be responsible to guide students in tasks and skills. Each Nursing Instructor shall write and maintain proforma of each nursing student showing attendance, performance and progress.
